What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Write About by Aura Singh
You are getting ready. You have all of your stuff out on your desk, you are inspired and when you start to write, you blank out. Your brain has stopped working. It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Now, what do you do to get another idea? You can try to do what you were doing when you got the idea but sometimes that doesn’t work.
One way to get an idea is by listening to music. Some music is really inspirational while other music is really bad. You can write song reviews or you can write about what you think the song means.
Another way is to look at some of your old writing pieces. They can be from school or from your personal “library.” You can write about what you already wrote about just from a different point of view, you can expand on that article. It all depends on what you previously wrote about.
One of the best ways (and an excuse to have fun) is to watch movies and write about them. One of my favorite things to do when I write is writing about something that happened or anything in general from the point of view of a character in a movie or TV show or book. You can also write a movie review.
An awesome way to get an idea (and stuffing yourself with food until you have to roll off the chair like a potato) is to go to restaurants and do reviews. You can also take an interview of the chefs if you are allowed to.
So now if your brain stops working, you know how to get an idea to write. I hope this helped you and that you got an idea from this. Bye!
