If you don’t go to school,

You’d be a fool.

Trying to look cool,

While you drool.

And I RULE!

-Nihira Pathak

Media Center

I go to the library,

See a book about blueberries,

I walk in with my 1990 Blackberry.

-Nihira Pathak, Harshil Dinesha

Dances

I go to the dances,

We dance till we’re ashes.

Don’t really want an answer,

I just really wanna be a dancer.

-Nihira Pathak, Harshil Dinesha

Unicorn

The unicorn ate my homework,

The teacher will believe me, that’s a perk.

-Nihira Pathak

Kahoot

Every teacher has Kahoot,

The peeps on the leaderboard scream WOOT WOOT!

-Nihira Pathak

Gymnastics

I love gymnastics,

It’s so fantastic.

You can do flips,

While eating chips.

You can do a handstand,

On land.

School

I don’t go to school,

‘Cause I am so cool.

I jumped into the pool,

And I’m homeschooled.

Tests and School

Getting nervous before the test,

Haven’t studied, haven’t rest.

Sweating profusely,

Test comes so quickly,

I can’t take it anymore,

I can’t take it anymore.

IDC

The teacher talks about history,

I read about mysteries.

The teacher gives me some homework papers,

I don’t care, DAB ON HATERS!

  • Daniel Liang

Trends

All I do is dab,

I open a new tab.

When the teacher looks at me,

My arms are like a T.

  • Daniel Liang

I like coffee,

She likes toffee.

We go to school,

And we are so cool.

Lawyer

Law and order,

I’m a lawyer.

Don’t shoot for sport,

Order in the court!

  • Daniel Liang

2016 Trends

When someone starts to dab,

You can’t help but feel bad.

‘Cause it’s so 2016,

But you don’t want to be mean.

So instead you floss,

Knowing you’re a real boss.

Fortnite

Boom!

You walk into the room,

You start to shoot.

Everybody hollers, “Woot-woot!”

  • Sarah Thomas

Flex

Flex is for homework, right?

But everywhere in sight

Are gamers on their phones

Or Netflix-addicts feeling all alone

We got to stop this Flex abuse

‘Cause homework is its one true use

Teachers can’t control us raging YouTubers

Or stop Fortnite from making us feel super

So we need self-control

And we’ll actually have a soul!

  • Eliana Du

Exampressure-itis is a dangerous thing

For some reason it causes students to sing

They against their will

When all they need is to chill

And all in all they end up with

Music and Phones

How would we listen to Post Malone?

If there was, was no phones.

We need it to study, study and play,

You can’t take, take it away.

School.Days

Growing up in this day and age,

With free expression all the rage.

Our young ones learn when starting school,

That reading’s fun and math is cool.

While writing isn’t the least bit boring,

It really is so much like drawing.

For every child it is essential,

To realize their full potential.

And teachers always do their best,

To stimulate their interest.

When years of school days end at last,

With all examinations passed.

Will the children reminisce,

And say, “Our school days we will miss.”

And as the final day arrives,

They were the best days of our lives.

Grover Middle School

As you trudge to the gray-clouded school,

Rain falls and begins to pool.

You run inside, dreading the day,

And you think of a plot to run away.

The three bells begin to ring,

But nothing is happy, not a single thing.

Your head on your desk,

Thinking that Golly gee, life wrecks.

Watching Netflix is what you live for,

Even though your eyes get really sore.

Homework is a mountain piling around you,

You sigh at it and let out a big boo hoo.

Under your eyes are big black bags,

And time just seems to always drag.

Your Chromebook is usually very blinding,

And life stinks is what you keep finding.

Your English teacher dabs,

And thinks he looks totes fabs.

While you secretly cringe,

And on ice cream you binge.

But at lunch you cannot see,

What can possibly,

Cause the food to be so soggy,

And make you feel so groggy.

So instead, in the commons,

You eat some ramen.

Middle School.
